The Resurrection

“He has been raised; He is not here.” (Mark 16:6)

Fruit of the Mystery: Faith

Description
On the first day of the week, Jesus rises from the dead by His own divine power. The tomb is found empty, the burial cloths left behind, and the angel announces that the Crucified One now lives. The Resurrection confirms Jesus as Lord and reveals His victory over sin and death.

Reflection
The Resurrection is the foundation of Christian faith. Without it, history and human suffering remain without meaning. Christ’s victory calls us to believe not only in His rising, but in the promise that life conquers death. This mystery invites us to live by faith, trusting that God’s promises are fulfilled even when they surpass human understanding.

The Ascension

“He was taken up into heaven and took His seat at the right hand of God.” (Mark 16:19)

Fruit of the Mystery: Hope

Description
After completing His earthly mission, Jesus ascends into heaven. He does not abandon His disciples, but entrusts them with continuing His work. From the Father’s right hand, Christ reigns as Lord and intercedes for His Church.

Reflection
The Ascension directs our hearts toward heaven. Christ goes before us to prepare a place, reminding us that our true home is not of this world. This mystery strengthens our hope, calling us to live with eternity in view while faithfully fulfilling our mission on earth.

The Descent of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost)

“All were filled with the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:4)

Fruit of the Mystery: Love of God

Description
On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descends upon Mary and the apostles, filling them with divine life and power. Fear gives way to courage as they are sent forth to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. The Church is revealed and empowered for her mission.

Reflection
The Holy Spirit transforms hearts and ignites love for God. Pentecost reminds us that Christian life is not sustained by human strength alone, but by God’s Spirit dwelling within us. This mystery invites us to rely on the Spirit’s guidance and to live boldly for Christ.

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

“Taken up body and soul into heavenly glory.” (CCC 966)

Fruit of the Mystery: Grace of a Happy Death

Description
At the completion of her earthly life, Mary is assumed body and soul into heaven by God’s power. Preserved from sin and wholly united to her Son, she shares already in the resurrection promised to all the faithful.

Reflection
The Assumption reveals the hope for those who belong fully to Christ. Mary’s life of humility, obedience, and trust is crowned with eternal glory. This mystery strengthens our hope for a peaceful death and reminds us that fidelity to God leads to everlasting life.

The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

“A woman clothed with the sun… and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” (Revelation 12:1)

Fruit of the Mystery: Trust in Mary’s Intercession

Description
In heaven, Mary is crowned Queen of Heaven, exalted above all creatures because of her unique cooperation in the work of salvation. Her queenship flows from Christ’s kingship and serves the glory of God and the good of the Church.

Reflection
Mary reigns not with power, but with maternal love. As Queen and Mother, she intercedes for her children with perfect trust in God’s will. This mystery invites us to place our confidence in her intercession and to follow her example of faithful surrender to God.
